Jon Reep Does this face look familiar? Maybe you remember Jon as the fifth season winner on NBC's "Last Comic Standing" or have seen him on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend" or the half-hour special "Comedy Central Presents: Jon Reep". If it’s not from his standup performances, then you probably recognize Jon from his appearances on HBO’s “Eastbound and Down” and ABC’s hit show “Blackish.” He has also appeared on Dodge's popular ad campaign, “Hemi Guy", where Jon is known to millions as the redheaded hillbilly famous for leaning out of his rusty beater and uttering, "That thing gotta Hemi?" You also know Jon as the redneck farmer from “Harold and Kumar: Escape Guantanamo Bay” and television host of “Are you Faster than a Redneck” on the Speed Channel. Now based in Los Angeles, Jon is one of the hardest working comics in America, performing on television, in films, and selling out clubs and theaters across the country. His show is supersonic energy filled with non-stop characters, super clever writing and of course the one talent that separates Jon from all other comedians in the world: He's the best redneck dancer since Elvis. www.jonreep.com/ JON REEP *SPECIAL SHOW* @ THE MILLROOM Friday, May 6th Shows @ 7:00pm & 9:30pm Tickets: $20 advance, $22.50 at the door TICKETS @ http://JonReepAVL.eventbrite.com “He points out the insanities of people in a small town, whether it’s insisting on your right to stand naked on your front lawn or the love the people have for their cars.” -Kevin Carr 7M Pictures VIDEOS: Acting Reel: https://youtu.be/F2rKACea75g Last Comic Standing: https://youtu.be/MINJa81hiqo Credits: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1813499/ Buying tickets in advance is highly-recommended. Funny Business at The Millroom Presents Shane Mauss: A Good Trip: A Stand-up Comedy Show About Psychedelics Saturday, May 21st @ 8:00pm – doors at 6:30pm $15 advance / $17.50 at the door TICKETS @ http://ShaneMaussAVL.eventbrite.com Shane Mauss has too many credits to name. Since winning HBO's Comedy Arts Festival "Best Stand up Comic" Award, he's gone on to be a favorite on Conan, Jimmy Kimmel, Comedy Central, Netflix, and Showtime. His latest album, 'My Big Break', debuted at #1 on the iTunes comedy chart and now he’s diving into a brand new hour about one of his admittedly controversial lifelong passions: psychedelics. A self-described insane teenager, Shane seems to have done every drug he could get his hands on while constantly in trouble with the law. Since then, however, he's gone from barely getting a high school diploma to interviewing the top scientists in the world about the meaning of life on his hit podcast ‘Here We Are’ while headlining comedy clubs all over the world. Throughout all of this there appears to have been only one constant in Shane’s life: TRIPPING BALLS. Take a journey down the rabbit hole for some deep, authentic laughs about mushrooms, LSD, DMT and more. Shane will question our fickle perceptions, share personal experiences, explore the history of psychedelics and modern scientific research. All with a lot of laughs and a whole lot of weird in one of the most unique and thought-provoking shows you will ever see. NOTE: No prior drug experience is required to enjoy this show. It will be entertaining and educational for all. WARNING: This show is about PSYCHEDELICS! It’s about learning about ourselves and looking at life differently. If you are a fan of meth, heroin, or any other idiotic drug like that, this show will probably only make you feel worse about yourself than you likely already do. FINALLY: To answer your question, no! Shane will not actually be on drugs during the actual performance, mostly because tripping at work is a waste of good drugs. But regardless, we’re all going to have a good trip.
