Glorious Impossibility: The Sermon on the Mount fo   [Spiritual & Religious]

Event Date: 11/03/2014  Event Time: 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Description:
We naturally treat the Sermon on the Mount like we typically treat the rest of the Bible–like it’s a divine self-help manual, a blueprint for having your best life now. But actually the Sermon on the Mount is intended to show that the Christian life is a glorious impossibility. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus wants to set us free by showing us our need for a righteousness we can never attain on our own–an impossible righteousness that’s always out of our reach. The purpose of the Sermon on the Mount is to demolish all notions that we can reach the righteousness required by God–it’s about exterminating all attempts at self-sufficient moral endeavors. In the deepest sense, the Sermon on the Mount is not a goal, but a wall we crash into so that we finally cry out, “I can’t do it!” For, it’s only when we come to the end of ourselves that we come to the beginning of God’s grace.

Becoming a Person of Spiritual Influence: Bringing   [Spiritual & Religious]

Event Date: 11/10/2014  Event Time: 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Description:
America is filled with churches and professing Christians, yet the church is exerting less and less influence on our culture. Why? Spiritual influence is not just for pastors, missionaries, or those in leadership positions in the church or business world. God calls each of His followers to change their world so that it glorifies Christ. Believers grieve that their local congregations are divided and bickering rather than prayerful and evangelistic. Ministries and churches have noble visions of what God wants to do through them to reach the world for Christ, yet they cannot get their members to mobilize for action. In our homes, parents struggle to steer their children toward God and away from worldliness. Learn what God’s Word says about how He can use your ordinary life to radically transform the culture of your family into one that follows Him, change the heart of your church into one that is on God’s agenda, and even transform the culture of our nation into one that honors Him

11:11 STARGATE ATTUNEMENT 11-11-2014   [Spiritual & Religious]

Event Date: 11/11/2014  Event Time: 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM

Description:
11:11 is a number activation sequence. Each time that you see 111 or 1111 on a clock it represents that you are being given an opportunity to walk into a Gateway of Manifestation. The universe has just taken a snapshot of your thoughts, which then are manifesting into the physical in record speed. The time period from November 11, to January 11 is considered to be the HOLY TRINITY months. All in All it is a divine decree and opportunity issued to all of earth. Wake-up, and become your true light. Eleven teaches us every problem comes as a divine opportunity to learn. It shows us how to see beyond what is everyday and boring. It try's and tests our faith and our belief system and our faith. It forces us to listen to that small still quiet voice within the silent witness. It reminds us we are all vast beings who have come to earth to help with the healing and awakening process starting with ourselves. It asks you to locate the light within and share it with all. Eleven is our Best Friend and Teacher. 11:

Women's Day Away: The Nearness of King Jesus: Our   [Spiritual & Religious]

Event Date: 11/13/2014  Event Time: 09:00 AM to 4:15 PM

Description:
In Scripture, we see the Lord of the Universe stoop down to our level to express His love for us. Over and over again, the New Testament narrative reveals the King of all kings condescending from His throne of glory to make grace accessible to sinners like us. Jesus chose to put down His royal scepter and pick up a wet towel to wash human feet. He chose to endure indignity, pain, and temptation so as to be with us, His beloved. Yet while Jesus allowed Himself to be tempted as a man—which means there is no insecurity, fury, or shame He cannot empathize with—He never wavered. He was without sin. Our Savior endured to the end so that we could—by proxy—receive eternal life, the prize of perfect perseverance! Come study the affectionate embrace of your Redeemer and lean into it. Enjoy a more intimate relationship with Christ, and see Him infuse you with more compassion for the lost and lonely people around you.

The 7 Churches of Revelation with Joe Stowell   [Spiritual & Religious]

Event Date: 11/14/2014  Event Time: 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Description:
It’s been almost 2,000 years since the Apostle John was instructed by Jesus to write letters to the seven churches mentioned in the book of Revelation. These timeless letters reveal a message of God’s love through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus, identify and provide correction for problems in the church, and offer hope and encouragement for the future. What remains of the ancient sites of the churches in Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea? Come take a closer look and see how the struggles of the New Testament churches are just as apparent in churches today. Gain a deeper understanding of how Christ sees you and how you should live in a culture that is less than friendly to followers of Jesus.
