Friday, January 27th from 4-7pm - Get your weekend off to a good start with the best free wine tasting in Asheville. We'll pour some of our best selling French wines for you to sample and purchase at discounted prices! If you love delicious and affordable French wines from small family wineries, this is your tasting! Join us as we pour you a trio of all-time best sellers this Friday! We'll start with a new Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc that has been flying off the shelves since we picked it up late last year. Up next, you'll taste a medium bodied, juicy and spicy Cotes du Rhone that is both a staff and customer favorite. To finish up, we'll pour you a splash of our best selling wine of all time. It's guaranteed to be a fun and delicious tasting and you're all invited. Taste, learn, and save every Friday at Table Wine! Can't make it by, but want to place an order? Just email us at [email protected] The Wines Save big on all of the tasting wines! Mix any 3 of them and save 10%, mix any 6 and save 15%, or mix any 12 and save 20%! 1. 2015 Domaine Paul Buisse Touraine Blanc (Loire Valley) – This is an absolutely exceptional example of Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Racy, yet delicate and restrained, this one offers up crisp notes of herbs, green apple, citrus and a hint of white pepper. Regular Price: $13.99/bottle Tasting Price: $12.59/bottle | $11.89 in mixed six packs | $11.19 in mixed cases 2. 2014 La Grange de Piaugier Cotes du Rhone (Rhone Valley, France) - I would venture to guess that at least six of my mortgage payments have been "assisted" by our sales of various Cotes du Rhones. This one is a great example of why so many love the red wines of Southern France. Mainly Grenache, with smaller portions of Syrah, Mourvedre, and a few others, it's medium bodied, juicy, and spicy with moderate earthy complexity. Regular Price: $12.99/bottle Tasting Price: $11.69/bottle | $11.04 in mixed six packs | $10.39 in mixed cases 3. 2014 Domaine Amido Cotes du Rhone Villages "Signargues" (Rhone Valley, France) - It's our best selling wine of all time and Domaine Amido's Cotes du Rhone is simply delicious! A blend of Grenache and Syrah fermented in stainless steel, it is full bodied and luscious with loads of warm and ripe cherry, raspberry and plum fruit. With soft tannin and mild acidity, it is smooth, seamless and a tremendous value. Regular Price: $14.99/bottle Tasting Price: $13.49/bottle | $12.74 in mixed six packs | $11.99 in mixed cases

Asheville Gallery of Art February 2017 Show “For the Love of Art” Asheville Gallery of Arts February show, “For the Love of Art” features the work of three new Gallery artists and beautifully illustrates their love and passion for painting. The show runs from February 1-28 during Gallery hours 11 a.m-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sundays. An artists’ reception at the Gallery (82 Patton Avenue in Asheville, across from Pitchard Park) on Friday, February 3, 5-8 p.m. offers a great opportunity to meet the artists. Everyone is cordially invited to stop by. Bee Adams’ paintings immediately strike you with her enthusiastic use of color. Bee states,”My love affair with art adds color and joy and adventure into my life.” She freely uses acrylics, watercolors, and a variety of media. Bee was active in the Denver art scene for over 40 years. After moving to Asheville more than four years ago, she expresses her passion for art in her colorful interpretations of Asheville’s unique architecture and surrounding natural landscapes. Bee also paints with the Asheville Urban Landscape Project and the WNC Plein Air Painters. Megan Richard’s watercolor/water-media paintings depict ethereal mountain vistas, expansive starlit skies, intimate woodland landscapes, and sunlit waters. Her landscapes evoke a quiet sense of time and place. Megan says, “I love the idea of viewers making an emotional connection with my paintings by tapping into their own memories and experiences.” She has a B.A. in Fine Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University and has studied watercolor painting in Maryland and Virginia. Sally Lordeon’s powerful yet serene collection of modern and organic art shows her love of rich textures in all that surrounds us. Sally says, “The opulent textures in all things inspire my paintings. I love when my art triggers the viewer’s own imagery and creative thought.” Sally studied fine arts in Pennsylvania at Chatham University. She moved to Asheville more than 30 years ago and, after a successful career as a technical writer and college textbook author, Sally returned to her first passion—her love of color, form, and the divine pleasure of texture. As well as the paintings of the three artists, those of the other 28 Gallery members are on display and for sale through the month of February. For further information about this show, call the Asheville Gallery of Art at (828) 251-5796, visit the Gallery website at www.ashevillegallery-of-art.com or go to the Gallery Facebook page.

Description:
Seated Wine Tasting on Tuesday, February 7th starting at 7:15 p.m. -- Sample a great lineup of French wines from famed importer Neal Rosenthal in the comfort of the Table Wine Classroom! The cost is $25/person ($20 for Grape Nuts) and pre-payment is required. Please call us at 828.505.8588 to pre-pay and reserve your seat today. If you are a fan of small production, carefully crafted, traditionally made wines from France, this is your tasting. If there were an American Wine Hall of Fame, Neal Rosenthal would surely be one of its first inductees. After leaving his job as a corporate and international attorney in the mid-1970's, Neal Rosenthal opened a small retail store in New York City in 1977 focused entirely on small growers. This was a risky endeavor. At that time, most Americans weren't even drinking wine and if they were, it was most likely pink and/or sweet. Neal foresaw the future of wine in the United States and his hunch was right as American's are drinking more wine today than ever before. That little store at 1590 Lexington Avenue still stands, but the business model has greatly expanded to include importing and distribution. What you will always find in a wine selected by Neal is a sense of place (aka terroir) and tradition. His producers' wines aren't typically flashy, flamboyant, or fruit-forward. Instead, they are balanced wines with a perfect interplay between fruit and secondary characteristics like earth, spice, and mineral. Welcome Southeastern US Sales Manager Josepeh Frederick and join us as we take you on a French wine adventure through the wines of Rosenthal. From Bordeaux and the Rhone Valley to the Loire and the Languedoc, it's guaranteed to be a fun ride! The cost of entry gets you tastes of 9 different wines and lively discussion on each, light hors d'oeuvres, and incredible discounts on all of the wines tasted. ****We can only take 24 for this limited seating event, and reservations and pre-payment are required. Please plan to arrive at the store by 7:00, and we will get started promptly at 7:15. Due to our planning needs, refunds can only be offered on cancellations made prior to Saturday, February 4th.
