ASHEVILLE, NC – Asheville‘s Diana Wortham Theatre presents the 84th Annual Mountain Dance & Folk Festival August 4-6. Audiences will see a different show each night, showcasing the culture of the Blue Ridge mountains and Great Smokies. With beginnings in 1928, the folk festival is the oldest in the USA. Songs and dances by mountain artists depict the heritage of Irish, Scottish, African, and Cherokee.
