When: LAAFF occurs the first weekend in September, this year September 3 and 4, 2011 Where: On Lexington Avenue downtown Asheville, between College St and the I-240 overpass LAAFF, Lexington Ave Arts and Fun Festival, is Asheville‘s FREE festival with local art and street performers, music, food, beer, and more. Presented by Arts 2 People, this street fair is the 10th Annual LAAFF in Asheville, NC. LAAFF is a green and all local event, supporting local musicians, artists, performers, restaurants, breweries, and non-profits. Three blocks of Lexington Ave will be the happening place to be September 3 and September 4, 2011, the streets will be filled with the uniqueness of art and culture that makes Asheville such a diverse place. LAAF is the largest independent street fair in the southeast, and this year extending the fun for a two-day festival. A fabulous event for all ages!
An event for the whole family, LAAFF has interactive activities for kids making art and dancing, as well as kids’ performances with hip hop, modern dance, jazz, and jump roping. LAAFF also has local beers from local breweries, fabulous food, and let’s not forget LAAFF’s famous bicycle jousting!
