The ticket price covers invaluable knowledge, a fermenting kit (valued at $14) and 2 seed packets of your choice!  Join Fermenti at Sow True Seed for a Fermenting from the Garden Demo and Discussion. We will discuss ways to #growtoferment using Sow True Seed and your Fermenti Home Fermentation Kit to preserve your harvest the traditional way, increasing nutritional value! We will cover basic fermentation principles, have a live demo of how to ferment, and share creative recipe ideas from your garden. Meg Chamberlain holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art from the Corcoran College Of Art and Design, among other accreditations. In 2008, Meg and husband Lars began primitive homesteading in Missouri without the use of power and running water. From these conditions, a unified understanding of how traditional food production and preservation could be modernized without losing its heritage was identified and food waste practices were explored. In 2017, Fermenti was created- a fermentation powerhouse here in the mountains of WNC. At FERMENTI, we help connect you to that amazing past by teaching traditional Lactic Bacteria fermentation of vegetable ingredients and how they can help us preserve our future! Please join us and help bring this tradition back to life! https://fermenti.biz/ Our Garden Workshop series offers a complimentary cup of tea from one of our awesome local sponsors. This event will have Well Seasoned Table and their delicious tea. Please bring a mug!

In rural, southeast Sicily – a zone still authentically Sicilian – near the confines of the Sughereta di Niscemi Nature Reserve, lies a historic Feudo (fort) dating back to 1700 that has been carefully restored maintaining the impressive, original structure. Today, this extraordinarily beautiful place is home to the Feudi del Pisciotto winery. Join us with Gwen Collins from Epiphany Wines as we explore 6 wines from this Sicilian producer. These wines are from their Grandi Stilisti Collection in which each label was designed by an Italian fashion designer. This marriage of Italian wine and fashion contributes to an important fundraising project whose aim is to support Sicilian art and culture: the proceeds of sales are partly delineated to the restoration of works of art and ancient artifacts of the island’s heritage. Wines to be tasted (subject to change) - Nero d'Avola - Merlot - Cabernet Sauvignon - Frapato - Grillo - Passito

Like any agricultural product, once a coffee cherry is picked from a tree it has a limited lifespan. Our mission is to ensure the highest quality coffee, and freshness is a key factor. As the seasons change, so do the coffees on our menu.  Our monthly Catalog Cupping gives the audience the chance to taste every coffee on our menu during that time. Cupping coffees side-by-side is not only excellent palate development, it will empower attendees to make informed buying decisions.  cupping experience is highly recommended
