*TIME TO BE ANNOUNCED* The various yoga communities around the globe are incredibly expansive in their philosophies, practices, methods and cares. At Yoga Alliance, we believe we are better for that diversity, especially when we come together in yoga to channel our collective energy together for the greater good. In order to better understand the perspectives of different yoga communities, this summer, our President & CEO David Lipsius and COO Shannon Roche are embarking on a journey across the U.S. to personally share with you the ways in which the organization is changing to better serve the yoga community and to request your guidance and feedback.  The discussion will include details on the Yoga Alliance Standards Review Project, a comprehensive and inclusive review to ensure that our standards are appropriately evolving over time. As a member organization, Yoga Alliance is most known for its standards and credentials. Because the Yoga Alliance credential is immediately recognizable by most yoga practitioners, it is vitally important that teachers and practitioners understand what our standards mean.  By developing standards and offering credentials to those who meet the conditions of the standards, Yoga Alliance: Provides teachers and schools a measure for quality, safety and performance that they can claim in order to get jobs or promote themselves to the public; Assures quality, safety and performance for customers/students of teachers and schools; Allows those most knowledgeable on the subject matter to shape the field; Discourages government agencies from standardizing all of yoga into narrow definitions; Improves competence and effectiveness of its members. At Yoga Alliance, we know that personal connections and respectful, peaceful and conscious communication are keys to successful relationships so we look forward to meeting you and opening a dialogue that we hope will continue for years to come.

One of our absolute favorites is back in Asheville 8/21! Caleb Synan is one of the hottest young comics in the country. (Funny AND good looking!) His unique background as a preacher’s kid from a small southern town gives him the ability to relate to any and every crowd -- even though he’s a big old millennial who lives in LA. Want proof? He’s written and starred in two different Comedy Central web series: “Deadliest Chef” and “Wise Words” (That’s the internet!) And he’s performed on CONAN (twice!), Last Comic Standing (once!), and Fuse’s “Uproarious” (TV! That’s right!) He’s also entertained our troops in South Korea and Japan. What a guy! It’s no wonder he won the title of "Wittiest" in Franklin County High School’s 2009 Yearbook. He even wrote this bio himself. And he’ll have a margarita with you if you play your cards right. Description:
Dear Friends, Are you ready to jump more deeply into embedding NVC into your DNA and the DNA of our community? Me too! Over my 15 years of sharing NVC, I see over and over for myself and many others that the deepening comes in community. So I am inviting you to join an intimate 4 week NVC community intensive, 4 Wednesdays in a row, 4 hours each week, Wednesday August 22- Wednesday September 12.  Meeting time will be from 5- 9 pm here in Asheville. In addition to 4 hours each session, we will have journaling and buddy connection in between. Let's get this into our individual and collective operating systems! Our group will be limited to 12 people. Cost will be sliding scale of $250-$500.  Contributions of $500.00 will support people attending at the $250.00 level.  This series will count toward CNVC "Certification" as it now stands, providing 16 hours with a certified trainer (me) and an opportunity to receive feedback from a trainer and your peers if you choose to request a bonus observation and feedback session. In my path to trainer certification, receiving this feedback was deeply valuable to my learning and growth as well as to developing ongoing connection to other trainers and peers. It also was fun and healing for me and others to participate in simulated sessions, often relishing the opportunity to get on the spot empathy from the trainer-in-training for simulated or real jackals!  We will have these optional bonus observation and feedback sessions (with other class members present)  for anyone enrolled in the CNVC trainer certification program. I am working on the curriculum for this course and welcome your requests and input. I am drawn to "deepening" and living NVC by going back to the basics- here is a gem from Marshal's original book that reminded me that the fundamental skill of observation is not a dogma or rule;  rather is an opportunity to live in greater and greater connection, clarity and awareness:  “NVC does not mandate that we remain completely objective and refrain from evaluating. It only requires that we maintain a separation between our observations and our evaluations. NVC is a process language that discourages static generalizations; instead, evaluations are to be based on observations specific to time and context.”(Marshall’s italics) Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life, 2nd edition, page 26. A useful journaling practice may be to note when you use observations and when you use evaluations, and when needs of yours and others are met and unmet in your use. Let me know! Please register as soon as you are ready to commit! Earlier registration energizes and inspires me!  Feel free to email me with any questions: [email protected]

It isn't necessary.  After you purchase your ticket we will have your name on a list when you arrive, so we really only need the name the tickets were purchased with.  You can also show us the email purchase confirmation on your phone, but you can bring in a printed ticket if you prefer.  Please check in at the ticket counter at least 20 minutes before showtime to find a good seat. We expect a sellout.  Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? Yes, just make sure they check in with whatever name the tickets were purchased under.

Description:
Pleasure Evolution and Brad Leaf Amberheart invite. . . LADIES, GENTS, AND PEOPLE OF ALL GENDER IDENTITIES: As a giver: Learn to support, nourish, and EXCITE your male-bodied PARTNERS by helping us re-claim our relationship to our 1st Chakra, and the Evolutionary Pleasure Center known as the "Male G-Spot! As a receiver: Learn to surrender, receive and connect to your ecstatic body. Together we can activate a powerful source of life-giving pleasure, hence transforming a masculine-dominant cultural paradigm into one of creativity, joy, and life-giving vitality. Whether you are straight, bi, gay, or none-of-the above, if you have a PROSTATE and a healthy butt*, YOU have access to an extraordinary generator of PLEASURE for yourself AND for your lovers who are REALLY going to fully ENJOY you when you get so turned on you can't stand it!    *Even hemorrhoids or other 1st-chakra discomforts are no excuse for depriving yourself of pleasure.  This workshop will even show you methods for bringing love and nourishment to your ass which can result in miraculous healing, even if it starts by learning to give ourselves simple, motionless, external touch, and bearing witness to the healing which surges forth from that place of peace, comfort, and self-love.   Come Home and Help us reclaim the Sacred. The Male G-Spot is one of the most powerful (yet least employed) catalysts that men have available to generate PLEASURE.   In Tantra, we regard pleasure as one of the great healing powers.  The more pleasure we can generate, the more we can gain access to higher states of Vision and Ecstasy.  Higher states of Vision and Ecstasy provide vital insight, wisdom, and information for our life’s decisions.   Oh, if only more of our World Leaders could learn to play with their assholes!   Today, we’re inviting ourselves to be the leadership we seek in this world!   MODULE 1:  UNLOCKING THE SACRED TABOO RITUAL and CONSCIOUS HONORING are at the core of what we’re here to do this evening. Within a sacred, sweet, honoring container, we'll have a DEMONSTRATION of male anal/g-spot pleasure by a duo or two who are experienced in the art of giving, receiving, and generating high levels of ecstatic pleasure. There will also be a short primer about hygeine to help dispel old myths and open the way to more pleasure and FUN!  Many of us, sadly, have not yet had the opportunity to be in the presence of a man who is ecstatically activated by anal/prostate massage, and so…here is an opportunity to fully engage in conscious WITNESSING of this sacred and very powerful way of generating life-giving energy for ourselves, our loved ones, and this world.  You’re going to be invited to drum, sing, and dance, or just watch and learn, in accompaniment to these demos (rituals) of re-awakening.  Movement and song are actually the key elements which will help each of us move the energy and emotions which come up when doing such deep work and unlocking the sacred taboo.   Your presence as witness will, in itself, begin a much-needed planetary transformation which will help bring all of us some much-needed relief from the stress, anxiety, and competition which have ruled our world for far too long. Come help us! Thank you! We’ll close the evening with a heart circle so that all who have been present—in bravery, in joy, or in trepidation—can share whatever came up for them during the demos.  The opening of hearts will help prepare the group for the NEXT LEVEL, next week!  MODULE II:   Blazing the Trail Home to Bliss and Magic Get out your latex gloves and favorite lube!  It’s time for ACTION!  (Latex and non-latex gloves will actually be provided, as well as a a take-home sample of the best butt lube in the world, wild-crafted by our own faerie medicine person in Cherokee.) !***  We’re going to have an experienced male model or two on-hand so that YOU can explore the male anatomy and get some of those questions answered that you’re never had a chance to ask.  THEN, for all of you who are READY for some FUN, we’re going to have practice sessions!  If you’re a person with a prostate who thinks you might have a desire to EXPERIENCE G-Spot ecstasy this evening, please come prepared (see bradamberheart.com/buttplaybasics for some preparation suggestions). IF YOU DON'T FEEL YOU'RE UP FOR GIVING OR RECEIVING MALE G-SPOT MASSAGE THIS EVENING, NOT TO WORRY!  Your PRESENCE is what's most important. Witness. Support. Encourage. Honor this Sacred pleasure center which has been ignored in our recent culture. Our ultimate wish is to put to practice the valuable insights that we’ve gained, and to attract ever more opportunities for transformational pleasure!  Blessed Be. ***Note--if you think you might want to experiment with the art of GIVING the gift of g-spot pleasure this evening, or learning how to, then PLEASE TRIM YOUR FINGERNAILS 2 days in advance. If you’re a man who’s ready to experience the joys of receiving anal play, please go to this link to review some helpful tidbits about preparation and hygeine, which we’re also covering in Module I bradamberheart.com/buttplaybasics.  Thank you!***
