ASHEVILLE, NC – July 4th will truly will be an American Celebration at The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa as Bo Bice performs in concert on Independence Day. The concert will be followed by a fantastic view of a fireworks display, courtesy of the City of Asheville and an ice cream social. The event is open to all guests staying at the Resort that evening.
The weekend begins on Friday, July 3rd with a tribute to America’s past – The Asheville Tea Party where guests will enjoy a party atmosphere with Americana trivia games for all ages, goodies to feast on, music and, of course, tea. Throughout the weekend guests will have the opportunity to interact with Revolutionary War re-enactors, attend pool parties, historical scavenger hunt and enjoy a special Independence Day Buffet in the Blue Ridge Dining Room.
Husky-voiced American Idol singing sensation Harold “Bo” Bice hails from Helena, Alabama. During Spring and Summer 2008, Bice continued his tour promoting his See the Light album. He also simultaneously spent a few weeks participating in a special tour called It Was Forty Years Ago Today with Todd Rundgren, Denny Laine, Lou Gramm, and Christopher Cross. The tour paid tribute to the Beatles’ ground-breaking album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (original release date was June 1, 1967).
“The Grove Park Inn is offering all guests staying at the Resort the opportunity to see Bo Bice in concert as well as participating in all the other Fourth of July activities,” said Maddy Winer, the Resort’s Entertainment Director. This new “Total Experience” concept guarantees that all of our guests will have an unforgettable Fourth of July weekend experience. Packages are available and continue to be a great value but you can just stay on the night of July 4th and still enjoy Bo Bice in concert as well as all other activities offered that day.
