ASHEVILLE, NC – The Asheville Art Museum is delighted to announce that the Seventh Asheville Wine Auction & Gala Dinner will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at Togar Rugs. The premier charity wine auction in Western North Carolina, this event will feature a live auction of fine wines, art, fantastic trips and more, as well as a formal dinner with paired wines.
The Museum’s previous wine auctions have been unqualified successes. These outstanding affairs have brought people together for fun-filled evenings, while generating critical support for the non-profit Museum’s dynamic exhibitions and inspiring educational programs for people of all ages.
This gala event (black tie suggested) is being held at an extraordinary facility donated by Togar Rugs, transformed for the special evening into an elegant, stylish venue. An auctioneer will lead the evening’s bidding, with lots ranging from remarkable vintages and classic collector wines through estate jewelry to travel adventures and exotic oriental rugs. Wines will include older and new vintages of wines, several lots of selected, more affordable current vintages and something for anyone with an interest in wine!
Tickets are $125 per person ($55 tax deductible) and can be purchased at the Asheville Art Museum or over the phone at 828.253.3227.
The Seventh Asheville Wine Auction & Gala Dinner is supported by the following sponsors: Asheville Citizen-Times, AT&T North Carolina, Beverly-Grant, Mission Healthcare Foundation, Mutual Distributing, The Van Winkle Law Firm and Parsec Financial.
