ASHEVILLE, NC – As a result of proposed state budget cuts, the YWCA’s highly successful Diabetes Wellness program is in grave danger of shutting down. This would leave well over 100 individuals without lifesaving, wellness support.
To continue this program, the YWCA has made substantial expense cuts and identified other sources of revenues. However, a financial gap still exists. There is an immediate need for a minimum of $25,000 by June 30 to keep the program going into next year for those already enrolled and the YWCA is turning to the community for support.
Help your neighbor afford a cure for their disease by making a gift to the YWCA of Asheville Diabetes Wellness Program today. You can click here to donate online, or you can mail or drop off a check to the YWCA at 185 S. French Broad Avenue, Asheville NC 28801.
Also, from now until June 30, we have generous supporters who will donate $100 for every new Club W member! Click here to find out more about Club W: The YWCA Health & Fitness Center.
