Registration Open for The NC Arboretum’s 2012 Discovery Camps

ASHEVILLE NC – Registration is now open for The North Carolina Arboretum‘s 2012 Discovery Camp. Now in its seventh year, the camp program at the Arboretum offers experiences for every age from pre-kindergarten through middle school, with opportunities for high schoolers as Counselors in Training. Focusing on the philosophy that every child deserves the opportunity to enjoy and explore the natural world, camps utilize the 434-acre Arboretum property as an outdoor classroom to cultivate a sense of adventure and wonder in the outdoors and promote environmental stewardship and conservation.

Scholarships are available to campers whose families meet eligibility criteria. For more information, or to register your child for camp, please call (828) 665-2492 or visit www.ncarboretum.org. The central mission of The North Carolina Arboretum, an affiliate institution of the 17-campus University of North Carolina system, is to cultivate connections between people and plants.
