ASHEVILLE NC – A seminar addressing the multicultural aspects of Western North Carolina and the challenges and opportunities those differences present for employers and employees will be offered in Asheville on Wednesday, Nov. 13, by Western Carolina University’s Office of Continuing and Professional Education.
“It’s a Small World: Doing Business in a Multicultural Society” will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Room 336 at WCU’s instructional site at Biltmore Park Town Square. The university’s facility is located at 28 Schenck Parkway.
Participants will discuss diversity and pluralism from a religious perspective, the importance of sensitivity in the workplace and the benefits of ethical business practices. Similarities and differences among religious traditions and the social implications for employers and employees will be discussed in a local and global context.
The seminar will be led by Harold Littleton Jr., who has more than 20 years of experience in both college teaching and working in financial services.
